As of 28 April 2025, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has announced it is now accepting claims related to Campbell & Associates Independent Financial Advice Ltd.
Campbell & Associates Independent Financial Advice Ltd (FRN: 602550) is a small financial advisory firm led by its sole director, Mrs. Lisa Campbell, who also holds all senior management roles. The company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and holds various permissions, including:
- Advising on and arranging mortgages and home finance
- Arranging investment transactions
- Making financial arrangements
- Providing advice on pension transfers and opt-outs
- Advising on peer-to-peer lending agreements
On 9 February 2023, the FCA imposed restrictions on Campbell & Associates, prohibiting it from conducting any regulated activities or reducing the value of its assets without prior FCA approval. These actions were taken due to concerns about the firm’s business practices.
Further measures followed on 3 April 2023, when the FCA banned Mrs. Campbell from carrying out any regulated functions without written consent, citing additional concerns.
On 10 February 2025, Mrs. Campbell was formally charged with several criminal offences, including fraud by abuse of position and submitting false or misleading information to the FCA in an attempt to conceal misconduct.
Subsequently, on 28 April 2025, the FSCS announced it is investigating the firm to determine whether customers are eligible for compensation. The scheme has now opened its online claims portal, allowing affected clients to submit their claims.
